Faculty Training

Faculty Development

ARCT is recruiting and training experienced respiratory therapists and medical professionals to serve as program faculty.

Three-Phase Implementation

ARCT Plan of Action

ARCT's strategic implementation plan is divided into three phases to ensure sustainable development of respiratory therapy education and practice in Nigeria.

Phase 1

Phase 1: Preparation and Launch (Now - March 1, 2025)

  • Curriculum & Accreditation: Develop comprehensive RT curriculum based on international best practices
  • Infrastructure Development: Secure training facilities at partner hospitals and establish virtual learning platform
  • Faculty Recruitment: Recruit experienced respiratory therapists and medical professionals
  • Marketing & Outreach: Promote program to potential students and stakeholders, create professional website
  • Financial Planning: Develop detailed budget and establish fundraising strategy
Phase 2

Phase 2: Program Launch & Initial Implementation (March 1 - April 22, 2025)

  • Official Launch: Launch event on April 21-22 in Lagos and/or Abuja
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Invite hospital administrators, physicians, government officials, sponsors
  • Student Recruitment: Begin recruiting students for inaugural class with clear admission criteria
  • Telemarketing Campaign: Onboard 50 commission-only telemarketers on March 1st
  • Equipment Procurement: Solicit equipment donations from local and global sources
Phase 3

Phase 3: Program Delivery & Expansion (Post-April 22, 2025)

  • Curriculum Delivery: Classroom instruction, lab simulations, and clinical rotations
  • Clinical Rotations: Supervised experience at partner hospitals
  • Certification & Placement: Develop certification process and facilitate job placement
  • Continuous Improvement: Regular program evaluation and curriculum updates
  • Advocacy: Policy advocacy and public awareness campaigns
  • Expansion: Explore expansion to other regions of Nigeria
